Biomorphic sculpture
This kind of sculpture allows you to form something 3-dimensional and an irregular-shaped sculpture. Biomorphic sculpture is not only about creating wires in a random shape or form, but you also have to think about activating the negative spaces. You can't only have random wires and 3D look on one side, but instead, in all sides it has to look 3D and not plain. What's cool with this art is you use an atypical item, which is a pair of pantyhose. People don't realize that when they look at the finished product that it's made of pantyhose. After it's been painted it's hardened by coating it with any colored base. The process is simple when making this sculpture: first I drilled holes on random spots on the base. Secondly, I took wire from the hanger and start creating the shape I want. I then covered the whole shape with a pair of pantyhose and once it's all in place I painted mine with a white-base paint. I came up with the theme or design I want to portray on the blank canvass. I have really enjoyed making this artwork!
