Lidded-slab box
This project demonstrates accuracy because the 6 sides-slab have to be the same sizes and dimensions all throughout. My particular box was 5x6 and 5x5 in length and width. I rolled and cut 6 slabs in total. I scored and put slip on the thin sides of each of the slabs and connected them together. Once I had the box set up, I added the decorations I planned for each side. On one side, I had a soccer goal net that continous to the adjoining side. I used flat strips of clay for the net and made it look like it was intertwined like a real soccer goal net. I carved the outline of the grass on one side and I had letters and words on 2 of the sides. The lid was easy to make; I just cut a smaller slab to put on the interior of the lid and that serves as the stopper so the lid doesn't slide off. The knob on top of the lid serves as a handle and I molded it into a soccer ball.
