Sushi ware
This is our last and final project/exam...SUSHI WARES! Just from the name, you can figure out that this project is all about making sushi wares using clay. We have to have 5 components of sushi wares, which are: a noodle bowl, sauce bowl, a cup, a chopsticks holder and the plate where the sushi will be held. Honestly, at the beginning of this project, I was struggling with coming up with an idea for my soon to be sushi wares. At the end, I resorted to what I really like personally so my theme was all about music. My plate, chopsticks holder and sauce bowl are all part of a guitar design. These three pieces are literally my guitar. The body of the guitar became my sushi plate, the neck of the guitar is my chopsticks holder and the round part at the center of the guitar became my sauce bowl. All three of this pieces are detachable for easy cleaning purposes. I made both my cup and bowl on the pottery wheel. After the bowl had been spun on the wheel, I added strips of clay vertically on it to make it appear like a drum. I also slipped and scored musical notes on my cup to go with my theme.
