NEVELSON ASSEMBLAGE
Nevelson Assemblage is about putting wood pieces together to create a vertical and 3-dimensional look. This project sounds easy but truly it is tricky because you can't just randomly put it anywhere. I had to different sizes and shapes of wood pieces of different heights. This project is originally supposed to be horizontal inside the box that's created, but my class decided that it's going to be Nevelson-inspired. First off, everything that is visible is created from scratch even the box as the base. Mr. Varney had scraps of wood for us to use as our pieces in the our artwork. My shapes are mostly triangles and vertical pieces. After I created the form I wanted, I painted it a combination of white and blue and created a two-toned light blue color. My art piece was a success to me because it varies in size, shape and height. Then, everyone's artworks are gonna be put together and photographed.
